July 26, 2018 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 60, sunny, nice
Comments:
Woke up feeling weird. Didn't sleep well. I think it's the wildfire smoke rolling in.
Felt OFF going into this workout, but came around...only to have it end prematurely.
Had an AM meeting with Mike, my long-time ex-turned-returning coaching client. A brief stride check up, which looks great. After that, Alexis and I met up.
The plan today: 8, 16, 8, 16, 8. Her paces were to be 3:08, 6:20s.
The first 8 was solid. We were 1:25 at the 4 and slowed a bit too much, coming through at 3:02. In the mile, we were going good 'til halfway, when she trailed off. I kept the pace and ran like 6:18...and she jogging in! SIDE-STITCH (which I now know to be gall bladder pain). She could barely jog at first, but it wore off, so we tried a more subdued 800. Even at the easier pace (I ran 3:10), she fell off, so we pulled the plug.
"Oh well, good try". No use in forcing it. We jogged some more, then I headed to Inshape to lift.
Rest of the day:
* worked hard on a marketing letter for area MDs
* don't remember what (if anything) I did in the PM
