Exercise Type: Run
Weather: mid 50s, sunny (and not terrible air!)
Comments:
Lunch workout with CA and Brent. I felt a little brain fogged: I think it was from a massive amount of dairy'd cake I ate last night.
The workout was originally going to be 3:00 on, 1:00 off fartlek, but we're really working on pace (brain) consistency for Brent, so we kept it on a measured course, and did bark 800s with 1:00 rest.
We alternated leading: CA, Brent, me.
Splits:
3:11, 3:07, 3:11, 3:04, 3:16, 3:10
* CA got us out a bit too hot in the first one, then slowed a bit too much
* Brent got a bit excited (which was fine)
* I was most chill
* CA sort of blasted #4; she stopped after that (pre-race)
* Brent struggled but ran the most consistent "penultimate" rep he's done in a workout
* my last was pretty spot on and kept Brent on board.
The good news for me: this workout was SUPER-easy. Easy breathing the whole time. (I know it should; these are NOT fast). That said, only 1:00 rest.
Not great news: R heel-ankle was stiff afterward.
Still encouraging!
