March 2, 2019 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 70, not hot
Comments:
Slept in, a fair amount, then drove to St Augustine. CA has this run that I’ve done a couple times: park at Villano Beach, run westward, back toward St Augustine, proper, run around, and come back.
Between the workout yesterday and the chelation drugs that I took on Friday night, I had a feeling this would be a bad run. It was. Just felt stiff and heavy the whole, entire time. As I told CA, “I feel like I’m 80 miles into a hundred miler”. This oral chelation med, DMSA, is brutal stuff. I got bad gut rot/heartburn in the middle of the night, after taking it, mid-day yesterday. And it makes me fatigued as fuck, and it’s impervious to anti-histamines.
I gutted out the “easy” 8 miler. Post-run: quick jump into the Atlantic at Villano Beach, then beach shower, then we met Charlotte and Clarke for breakfast. After that, we went home and I crashed out for about three hours!
PM:
* had the neighbors over for dinner and social
* had key lime pie with dairy in it (bad idea: see Sunday)
