Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 60s, pretty nice
Comments:
Easy up-down with CA. Slept in fairly, then got our way out to Hardesty while still cool, but sunny.
We did maybe five minutes of flat jogging in the lot before taking off.
I led again, and did my best to keep it easy. REALLY honed the form, namely:
* hip hinge (steeper, the more hinge! So I could nearly feel like I could flex my thigh and touch my ribs!)
* pelvis up-down (steep ups)
* hip extension (shallow ups)
* foot push-off
Felt remarkably good! I kept it easy...because CA was really struggling. Not sure why -- we had a long talk afterward (or she did, to me) -- on how some of it's mental: she gets down on herself if she perceives it's too hard, too slow OR if "it's too easy for me". That part is frustrating.
I slowed things in the second half, a bit, because her breathing was pretty labored.
Summited in 70:00. I wish it'd been faster, but it REALLY did feel good. So I'm happy for that.
Descent was a little clunky. 41 or 2 (No watch, and I stopped for her to catch up).
Good quality up-down strength!
