October 25, 2019 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 70, nice/sunny!
Comments:
Slept not super great last night: combo of altitude (6k'), allergens (some high alpine sagebrush pollen) and stuffy air.
Got up, had some coffee and contemplated a run, but Andy wanted to drive us to Lake Tahoe in the AM, so the five of us (me/CA, Courtney/Bert, and Andy) piled into the SUV and drove over the big mountain pass and down into Incline Village area.
Stopped and hung out at a couple cool lookouts...then came back.
Early afternoon we got out for a trail run. CA led on a pretty great 7-mile loop. I thought I was only going to handle maybe 4 miles...but I kept going, and felt good!
The runs are beginning to feel good again...and it's surprising.
Rest of the day:
* sat outside a bit and enjoyed the rays
* NAPPED :-)
* went to Andy/John's golf course for dinner. We had a private room with the six of us, then their neighbor/friend, and her nephew-wife. It was a little uncomfortable social setting -- as everything John/Andy does has a tinge of affluence (and snootiness), but it was actually pretty fun. Had a couple great Revision beers!
