November 5, 2019 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 60, humid, even pre-dawn
Comments:
This was more of a hike, than a run, which was good for my ankles.
I slept...so-so. One guy (Jake) snored nearly the whole night, with Scotty Mills, beside me, chiming in every once in a while. Roy talked in his sleep, once, and Ellie YELLED in her sleep! (Which, according to Pam, she did the night before, too!).
Camp fun fact: my surrounding bedmates included:
* 3 WSER cougar trophies
* a 20x finisher
* 2x UROYs
The ruckus was such that I dragged my plastic mattress outside onto the deck and slept out there!
EARLY to rise at camp: each day we RUN at 6AM, so I woke at 5:40 and shuffled over.
Easy effort in the dark across the river, then hiking to the top. Once there, Cinda gave a little talk about breathing exercises as the sun rose (in the clouds).
I hustled down right after that to prep for my Running Form talk.
HUGE improvement from the past two years: instead of teaching 8 classes (both courses to 4 groups), I'm only teaching the two classes (Form, Injury Prevention) to all at once.
Good talk, then onto the rest of the day!
