EASY Aufderheide bike with CA

November 11, 2019 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Bike

Weather: high 50s? overcast

Comments:
We did a micro-adventure after work and before yoga: we packed up the bikes and drove over to Oakridge for an easy ride.

There's a scenic highway that connects OR58 (that goes to Waldo, and the southern way to Bend) and OR126 (that goes past McKenzie River, and is the norhtern way to Bend). It's called the "Aufderheide Scenic Highway" -- it's about 60 miles long, that runs along two rivers (South Fork McKenzie on the north side; North Fork Willamette on the south). It's a beautiful stretch of road that, in the beginning, is pretty flat, so that's what we did.

CA noted that the air quality was way better, and it was warmer, in Oakridge, so that, too, was a motivation. But once we got there...it was less warm and sunny than we thought.

Nonetheless, we had a nice, EASY ride.

After that: packed up, drove to town, dropped off some donated furniture, then went to yoga. Solid class from a sub teacher.
