Comments:
Slept much better.
No activity today: up to do a video-chat stocking opening with CA's family, then CA went to run while I finished making my (non-dairy) Christmas cookies.
We were planning on going to Brandie's house early, but my mom and I got sucked into a long conversation about "things", so we didn't actually leave the house - breakfasted, packed up and RTG - until 11.
Went to Brandie's for a few hours, then mom took us to the airport.
Overall a solid trip. Still some underlying annoying family tension (mostly centered around my mom and the Festivus/Frank Costanza-like "issues" she has with mostly our spouses: Nate and Callie). But still, overall, time well spent.
Rest of the day:
* frantically finished our UROY ballot...only for TJ to reject it as "too late" (it was "due at 9AM" (what time zone?) this morning)
* flew to Denver
* flew to EUG
