March 19, 2020 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: sunny, mid 40s (but felt warm)
Comments:
Was remarkably not that stiff, so I was committed to doing a run while CA and Alexis did their 8-mile-8-mile-8 workout.
Beautiful morning. Drove to SEHS parking lot and ran from there. Forgot my watch...then my damn phone app died, so the mileage is approximate. Fairly certain I did at least 5 miles.
Felt pretty good, but it was hard. Observations:
* worked arm swing, obviously
* worked hard on "right pelvis rear and left forward"
* BUT - returning to a cue I've been doing intermittently for YEARS (last, that I can remmber, 2017 - the last time I was fast/healthy): Right pelvis BACK and left pelvis DOWN.
It's a weird 3D vector, but after working on exercises, it's clear that I hav a hard time loading the left hip, which is getting it to depress/downward glide.
So I was really working on that.
Felt a lot of glute and ab soreness and fatigue, which I think is good.
Ankle was remarkably good. However, it did get stiffer during the day.
Rest of the day: pretty stressful.
We got an idea last night: working travel/hospital jobs. So when I woke up at 5AM, unable to sleep, I began the process (that I did in 2013, when I thought I was going to move). By the end of the day, I've got a lead on a job!
On top of that: we found out we have (at least a mild) mold problem in our house. Fucking hell.
So this was my day:
* had to go get blood testing for this new job
* to my office to get documenation (for new job)
* to home depot for a carpet cleaner
* to home to wash carpets (which was annoying)
PM:
* online Lindsey yoga class
* had the Saengers over to "Turkey's Roost Puuub"
