May 5, 2020 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: high 50s, getting warm
Comments:
Up early and did some strength work - and a quick AM walk - before we had to bring the van to get new tires.
Drove to West 11th, dropped the van, then ran west on the Fern Ridge Path. Super-nice, shirtless sunny morning!
It's an ok path: wide concrete, mostly flat and out in marshland, once it strays away from 11th. We joked that (truly) Kaci calls this - exactly what she runs on in Omaha - a "trail".
CA was going to do a fartlek, but about 45s in, she tweaked her adductor again. Rat farts. So we did 2 miles out and jogged back.
I ran an extra mile solo.
REALLY worked on:
* small arm swing BEHIND
* PULL behind
* foot push BEHIND
Felt OK.
Oh, I also learned about a new mobilization technique: ANTERIOR GLIDE of CALCANEAL FAT PAD. This, as odd as it is, is exactly where my pain is:
* below the achilles and bursa, but
* not on my heel
So I jammed on that a ton last night, and this AM. ANd after the customary "half-mile pain", it was OK.
Post-run
* found CA's adductor and worked it (super-painful)
* breakfast
* some work
* PM clients / marketing
