Exercise Type: Bike
Weather: high 70s? Warm
Comments:
Didn't get out for a ride until after 6, but still got out.
Rode a hard Gimpl, again. I "hate" it...but they're my only source of high-intensity "aerobic" work, so I'm doing them every 4-6 days.
Felt pretty strong. It was a little slow, early (adjusting my phone volume), but I felt like I was faster in the second half.
Listened to "Best of Volume 1" of Van Halen - a "key" album for me in '96-97. Isn't "amazing", but was fun to listen to.
As I got back into town, I remembered the Hunt was at Christian's house. He lives on Lorane/Storey - about 75% of the way up the HUGE finishing climb of the Gimpl Route.
So as I was hammering up it, I looked hard up the hill to see if anyone was out...and they were! So I stopped, and walked my bike through his backyard to the outdoor "social".
It was nice to chat with folks - many of whom I haven't seen in months. Enjoyed a delicious mexi-style lager, then biked home.
Wasn't sure what my true finishing time was. I'm guessing for sure no slower than 66, and maybe 65.
