Campus grind/"tempo" w/CA

August 14, 2020 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Fun day. Slept in, then got up and cleaned and packed up. CA and I thought about going on a bike ride, but...my ankle was feeling better, and I wanted to give it a go, again.

For the first time in a couple MONTHS, I did manual therapy on her. She'd been seeing my old boss (who REFUSED to do manual therapy, out of spite for my and other PT's failures). He helped...but remaining now is shit to work on. I found a few key things - namely some ABD/ADD ROM loss in her pelvis - worked on that, and figured she was worthy of a test.

Parked at SEHS and ran from there. I was bit stiff early, but that abated quickly. CA pushed early so, "I guess it's ON!"

Ran pretty quick for the whole loop. She did really great; no "deadbutt", although she did have R trunk cramp tension.

I felt pretty darn good. Working on:

* posture (mid back arch, chin level)
* pawback + salazar hip drive
* strong foot push
* symmetrical arm swing

Did a few 7:0x and faster miles. Felt good!

Rest of the day:

* lifted
* brunch
* left for the coast. Had beers and salad (half-dinner) at Smelt Sands

Good, encouraging day.
