SF: South Headlands to Rodeo Beach

January 24, 2022 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: high 50s, sun

Comments:
Gorgeous run! Decided to simply run from the south end of Golden Gate and avoid the drive time (and tolls), so I parked at the south lot, where Jules and I did Friday.

Felt decent...though dealing with significant ankle pain. Took some time to warm up as I crossed the Golden Gate. From there I hopped on some trail, west, that ran along side a park road.

Stopped at a south-facing overlook (and likely, there, picked up some poison oak!), then continued west, gradually climbing, then descending until I got to the tip.

Ran back, north, and down to Rodeo Beach. Jumped into the ocean multiple times - not cold! Then ran -painfully - back toward the start of the old TNF 50M.

From there, I climbed southeast, did an extra summit, then wound back around to the bridge.

"Pushed" (like, barely sub-7!) over the bridge to finish!

GREAT run! Great day! Amazing trip!

Rest of the day:
* amazing coffee at Roundhouse, at the bridge
* drove to the hotel, checked out
* ate "brunch" at the beach, overlooking Saturday night's hangout
* drove south along the beach road, jamming to '80s
* finally returned the rental and hit the airport

Pretty routine flight back to Denver, than an "easy" drive back to Steamboat.
