Comments:
WU w/ Robert; 2miles 1hour before the race, stretch, drill, 5:00tempo effort 20minutes before the race; felt slightly rushed, good thing I didn't have to go to the bathroom right before the gun.
15:49 5k, splits something like 3:02, 4:53, 6:07 (3:05), 9:18 (3:11), 9:58 (5:05), 12:39 (3:21), 15:25 (5:27), 15:49 (:34 200, 3:10). wow, I'm pretty proud I remembered those from glancing at the split sheet after the race.
CD w/ Robert & Petro 2miles, stretch
Looking back, obviously the 4th kilometer was fatal. the race went out too fast for everyone but the leader and I was dead last, but I hung with the middle-rear pack pretty nice and finished 12th of 16. concentrated on form in the middle stage since I always look like shit, and it held together much longer then previous races. I'll have to get an analysis from Grogan soon since he was watching that for me. And thanks to Grese for yelling kilometer splits, even though a clock was available.
My only qualm with today is when I realized I was going to PR, I settled. the 4th kilometer should have been in the low 3:10s. never satisfied I guess. Plus, I need to get back on mileage. no excuses. B+ overall.
