Weather: 55, "Oregon spring": intermittent rain, wind,and sun
Comments:
A little uptempo "test" today. Ran w/Jeff at noon, with a slight add-on into Alton before the usual VRC. Gut rot today on account of the nachos + burrito -- both spicy and mega veg'd. Deuced like 4x this AM before, then another stop in the park.
Felt GOOD from the get-go. Split a 6:20 without even trying, then a "warm-up" 400m of 1:27 before taking off for a 2 x 1mi tempo. Rested down to maybe 6:00 on the bridge. Splits:

Felt AWESOME. Breathing was easy the whole time; if anything, I was over-doing it with the stride length; not sure those mechanics are going to be sustainable over 26.2 of those.
Overall the legs felt the BEST they've felt at that effort in a month -- dating back to the 10-mile "uptempo" end of my long run. GOOD STUFF.
