Lutzen Blue-Ball + MacBride + Ritz Hill

September 2, 2008 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: high-70s, extremely humid

Comments:
I woke up pretty early again today, mostly to re-adjust to waking and functioning early. I got up at 0630 and was running shortly after 0730.

It was super-humid and warm ahead of a line of storms hovering over the west metro area. Today was the first true short-soaking runs of the year for me, but overall it was a pretty decent run.

I started out running the usual RF loop, then popped into Glen/Kinni Trails, blue-balling Lutzen (who are in dire need of a "trim") and running up to Birch Cliff. The weeds were quite overgrown en route to CTY Rd FF and my legs paid for it. After picking out infinity barbs from my shorts and shoes I ran the MacBride loop, then down FF to Happy Valley and up, then down Ritz Hill.

My legs felt trashy again today; this time, I'm not entirely sure if it's the effort of the weekend or truly the shoes this time. My shoes have now got to have close to 400+ miles on them, which is dead time for a lot of pairs. I tacked on a bit of Hell's Highway into campus, running home via downtown.

Overall I rolled pretty damn hard; despite the trashiness, I had pretty good energy and felt strong, but the legs were definitely trashed out. Not for certain how long this run was, but I pretty much hammered for 1:22, so at least 12.5.
