Willamette River bike

Weather: 70-80s, nice

Comments:
Slept in the car behind the Comfort Inn in Auburn from 3-730, then hopped inside for some coffee and some free power. I also checked out a Holiday Inn hoping for a pool/shower to clean up, but no avail. So I ate something, then got on the way.

The garmin gave me a backroads way to cut across CA to get the I5 so I took that. Pretty OK drive, but shocking amount of traffic for a Sunday morning. It heated up QUICK -- mid 90s before noon when I got to my LAST IN N OUT for a while, in Redding. Pounded 3 burgers then kept rolling.

The I-5 route SUCKS -- I'm so glad I drove 97 on the way down. Too many passes, too much traffic.

Finally got home, unpacked a bit, and got in a quick bike ride. LIMPED A TON ALL DAY today, and I was dismayed to find that my R leg was as sore as the L -- either from the compensation OR because I'm just a huge puss and couldn't handle that downhill. Dunno.

Legs felt OK on the bike, though. Nice ride along the river.
