AM Custer Run

September 6, 2008 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 30s, cold and dark

Comments:
I woke up quite early today to get in some morning miles before we packed up and busted out for Yellowstone.

It was really cold, so I changed in the heated laundry room of the campground and left from there. Thankfully I warmed up nicely after a few minutes running.

I ran into town via this spur road that took me into the northern reaches of Custer. From there I dipped down to Main st and ran that 'til I was nearly out the west end of town before turning around.

Early on my achilles felt tight and shitty, especially the left. It was dark and there was no place to stop, so I didn't stretch them. Probably not a good decision, but they felt fine after a mile or two.

Returned to camp, woke up Dan, and we packed everything up and got in a shower before heading into town for breakfast. After a bite or three, we headed west for the Yellowstone area.
