Whitetail Ridge Trails

September 18, 2008 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 65, sunny, breezy, nice

Comments:
Woke up to dogs barking again. It's a pretty decent alarm clock, since I wanted to be up at 0730 anyway. I'm not sure why they consistently bark then. Maybe because that's when they first see people on the streets...

Did a circuit before running to break things up. Wasn't too energetic to go run today, but once I got on the trails, I felt great. I'm still a little tight in B achilles/calves, but other than that I felt reasonably fit.

I really, really like this loop. I love the variety of rolling hills and turns, shade, and the fact that it's nearly full five miles of trail. Can't beat that. One of these days I'll do two loops and wind up with an astounding 14 miles from home!

Felt pretty good for a 31 year old guy. Did weights afterwards and tried to motivate myself using that lofty age number: I'm pretty fit for most 31-year olds, but there's a ton of very, very fast guys my age. And older.

Excited for tonight. Should be fun! :)
