PRE/Campus + Willamette River

September 5, 2010 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Woke up early to get out and work the mile 4 aid station at the Eugene Women's Half Marathon, with the Strands crew. Pretty fun, but yikes: these women treated it like it was "Trick or Treat Tyme" -- grabbing gels and Clif Bloks hand-over-fist!

Ran with Eddy afterwards from our house: Fairmount + downtown (to avoid the race), then the river path. Uptempo. Energy was pretty good but the legs felt tired. At ~10 miles I began to experience stabbing nerve pain in my R lateral/distal ankle. F. = fibular nerve distribution. Not fun. It got a bit better.

Stopped at the house (Eddie only wanted 13), then tacked on a few more after some water, salt and fuel. Overall NOT a great-feeling run, but solid.

Britt and I went to PDX for the night after that. Had a LOT of fun; cool to hang out up there.
