Drove to work today, which really pissed me off. I hate commuting.
I had an OK day at work, then figured I'd try a new taping technique on my knee. I taped the upper part down to TILT UP the lower part and take pressure off where I'm feeling the friction near the tendon.
It seemed to work OK through the loop, but rather than eliminate the pain, I felt it elsewhere -- more superior/medial. Back at Kevo's I put on my cho-pat ABOVE my knee as an attempt to block the knee cap. That seemed to work better.
I did several laps in the fields east of CVTC and when that seemed to feel OK I crossed Clairmont and ran Vita + Stagecoach, then lower campus then up the Hill and back.
Overall it felt OK. Not great, not terrible. If anything, the pain just moved. My medial quad didn't like the pinching, and my upper patella got some grinding...but it least it was DIFFERENT.
However, later that night and while sleeping my knee was barking. So....that didn't work too well.
My latest strategy will be to really work on straight-up quad flexibility, in addition the strengthening and tilts....
