Short Hoffman Park Trails

November 30, 2008 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 30, snowing!

Comments:
I awoke this morning to a fresh coating of snow and I was excited to run. It was going to be a bit iffy after having run yesterday but I wanted to try two straight.

It did not go well. I taped my knee but the tape gave out completely by about ten minutes in. It was loose as hell at the porta stop (a porta!) at Hoffman, but I rolled anyway.

About halfway into the Mound lap it began to ache in the knee, and I DIETED after a lap and headed back. However, I was quite a ways out so by the time I got to Main St. it was legitimately painful. I stopped at MM and Winter and walked the rest in. Ghee.

I'm going to attribute the pain to shitty taping, which is what SUCKS aobut taping: it's so inconsistent. I'm also quite annoyed that my knee continues to track shitty, requiring the tape. However, my quads were mega-trashed from the initiation of elliptical, so it's entirely possible the tracking issues were renewed with that soreness/tightness.

Started a round of NSAIDS tonight: profen. We'll see how that works. Hopefully I won't suffer crushing depression like this summer on aleves.
