Willow River SP Ski

Got a bunch of stuff done, then went to Willow River to ski. Once again, because we got significant snow the night before, there was tons of ungroomed powder on the trail. However, there was a decently groomed base beneath, so the skiing was much better than Sunday.

Started off skiing down "Bitch" and then, because it was marginally groomed, I skied across the bridge and UP "Whore". That was tough. Once on top, it didn't get much easier, as the trails was quite narrow, making it difficult to skate. I did one big loop (just under a mile), then returned across the river.

I skied all the way to the beach and back. The form was vastly improved today and I really worked on hip hiking to accentuate the weight shift. The hips got TIRED.

Wore my knee brace today, as I think the tight structures continue to pull my cap when I'm doing anything. No pain to speak of.

Did circuits and some pull-ups at home afterwards.

***I had to bring my car to RF Tire to get snow tires and I ran the 1 mile home. It went OK, even though I accidentally wore my SUPER-OLD kayano on just the left foot! CRIPES! I had the brace on and there was a bit of knee soreness but not bad.

We celebrated xmas that night: pretty good. Got a hot water boiler, tea, a cooking book, the Magic Bullet, and a bunch of other sweet stuff...
